1965-72 Ford Truck EFI Fuel Tank and Fuel Pump

Aluminum tank. Stealth 340 inside. Ready for injection. The moment you put EFI in a classic truck the fuel system stops being a detail. Carb pressure is five psi and forgiving; injection wants steady high pressure and a pump that stays submerged; and a rusty tank behind the seat will not give you either. This is the answer sized for a 1965-72 F100. Hand built .125 aluminum; 26.5 by 19 by 10; roughly 19 gallons with three baffles keeping fuel over the pickup when the road gets interesting. The Boyd 41001 hanger comes with an Aeromotive Stealth 340 already installed - good for 700 horsepower on boost or 850 naturally aspirated. Plenty for Sniper; FiTech; Holley or a Coyote running returnless. Ports are where they should be: 6 ORB outlet; 3/8 inch NPT return; 1/2 inch NPT vent; CNC machined non vented threaded cap on the centre fill. Rollover safety vent is in the box. One thing to plan around: this tank is designed for the factory chassis and the listing calls for crossmember work. Read the fitment notes carefully and measure your truck before you order.

  • Pump already in the tank - the Boyd 41001 hanger arrives with an Aeromotive Stealth 340 installed and sealed.
  • Real EFI headroom - 700 horsepower on boost or 850 naturally aspirated from the standard pump.
  • Three baffles - keeps fuel over the pickup through corners; braking and a low quarter tank.
  • Ports where EFI needs them - 6 ORB outlet; 3/8 inch NPT return and a 1/2 inch NPT vent.
  • .125 aluminum; built to order - hand welded and test fit rather than pulled off a shelf.
  • Dual Phantom upgrade path - step up to the Aeromotive 18309 twin 340 assembly at checkout when the build grows.

Install Level: Advanced - fuel system plumbing; crossmember clearance work and in tank pump wiring

Optional upgrade at checkout: Aeromotive 18309 Dual Phantom 340 in tank pump assembly.
A fuel level sending unit is not included. Use a 0-90 ohm sender for aftermarket gauges or a 75-10 ohm sender for stock gauges.
Built to order; 4-6 week lead time in the body and 6 weeks in the product data.
The FFG push fuel cap and adapter converts the Boyd 2 inch NPSM neck to an OEM style cap; sold separately.

Fuel Level Sensor: We recommend one of two sending units to fit your needs; A 0-90 OHM fuel level sensor for aftermarket gauges or a 75-10 OHM fuel level sensor if you are using stock gauges with our Coyote Swap tanks.

Rollover Safety Vent: We also include the rollover safety vent, which is a simple ball check valve that allows air in and out of the tank as needed. In the event of a rollover, the ball will drop and block the vent port from leaking fuel. Additionally, it also has a small float inside that will help reduce the amount of liquid entering the vent hose from fuel slosh during normal everyday use.
