Billet Window Cranks | Ford F100 1968-79
Billet aluminum. Longer reach.
Custom door panels are thicker than the board Ford hung on the door in 1969. That extra thickness is why a stock window crank ends up dragging on new material; and why the first thing a fresh interior shows is a worn arc where the crank has been sweeping the panel.
These cranks are machined with a longer reach to the splines. The handle clears the panel instead of riding on it; so the vinyl or leather you just paid for stays flat. Billet aluminum; machined or Black Cerakote; sold in pairs with the screws.
The detail you notice on install day; and the one you appreciate three years in when the panel still looks new.
Fat Fender Garage part number FFG-F6879-M-Kit.
- Longer reach to the splines - the handle clears a thick custom door panel instead of dragging across it.
- No wear arc on new panels - the reason stock cranks ruin fresh vinyl is contact; this removes it.
- Billet aluminum - machined from solid rather than cast and chromed.
- Two finishes - bare Machined or Black Cerakote to match the rest of the interior hardware.
- Sold as a pair with screws - both doors done in one order.
Install Level: Beginner - two cranks and two screws; no fabrication required
