Firewall - LH - 53-56 F100 F250

The driver half. Stamped steel. Holes already in it. The driver side firewall takes the master cylinder; the pedal hangers; the column and most of the wiring. It is also the half that soaks up water off the cowl vent and rots at the bottom where the toe board meets it. This stamping replaces that half outright. Heavy gauge steel formed to the original shapes and bends with the original holes in place. Cutting one side out at a time keeps the cab honest. The half you leave alone holds the dimension while the new panel is fitted and butt welded to it. EDP coating on arrival means you can hang it in the rafters until the chassis work is done. Grind the flange; weld; seal; paint.

  • The busiest half of the cab - master cylinder; pedals; column and wiring all reference this panel.
  • Correct stamped holes - formed in rather than cut by eye on the bench.
  • 19 gauge like original - welds and finishes the same as the steel around it.
  • One side at a time - the untouched half holds your dimensions while you fit this one.
  • EDP coated on arrival - it can wait for the rest of the build without flash rusting.
