1973-79 Ford Truck EFI Fuel Tank and Fuel Pump

Twenty three gallons with the pump already inside it. A fuel injected 73-79 needs pressure it can count on; and the cheapest way to lose that is an external pump pulling through a long line under a hot truck. The Aeromotive Stealth 340 lives inside this tank; submerged; cool and quiet. Seven hundred horsepower on boost; eight fifty naturally aspirated. Sniper; FiTech; Holley; a junkyard Coyote - all of them feed from here. The tank is 1/8 inch 5052-H32 aluminum; 31.5 inch x 24 inch x 10 inch with a taper to 6 inch; three baffles; mount tabs from 3 x 3 x 3/16 angle in two places. It hangs behind the axle and fills through the stock location. Built to order on a four to six week lead time. The sending unit in the photos is not part of the order; pick the OHM range your gauges want and add it.

  • Pump inside the tank - submerged in fuel where it runs cool and quiet instead of ticking away under the bed.
  • 700 HP boosted; 850 naturally aspirated - published Aeromotive numbers with headroom for anything a street 73-79 will see.
  • Stock fill; stock location - it hangs behind the axle and fills where the truck already fills; no new hole in the bed side.
  • Three baffles - the pump pick up stays covered through a corner and a hard launch.
  • Twenty three gallons - real range with a modern injected engine in front of it.

A1000 In-Tank Pump Upgrade: Fat Fender Garage is happy to offer a new in-tank fuel pump option for your high-horsepower & forced induction applications. You can now purchase this A1000 Aeromotive in-tank pump, with the Boyd 12-Bolt EFI to Aeromotive 10-Bolt Stealth Adapter Plate for an easy bolt-in upgrade. Click Here for Pump Specs.

Fuel Level Sensor: We recommend one of two sending units to fit your needs; A 0-90 OHM fuel level sensor for aftermarket gauges or a 75-10 OHM fuel level sensor if you are using stock gauges with our Coyote Swap tanks.

Rollover Safety Vent: We also include the rollover safety vent, which is a simple ball check valve that allows air in and out of the tank as needed. In the event of a rollover, the ball will drop and block the vent port from leaking fuel. Additionally, it also has a small float inside that will help reduce the amount of liquid entering the vent hose from fuel slosh during normal everyday use.
