Classic Update Harness | Chevy Truck (1955-59)
Task force wiring; brought up to date. There was no fuse panel worth the name in a 1955-59 Chevrolet truck. Every circuit you add now is another wire spliced into a system that was thin when it left the factory. This Classic Update kit gives the truck a real electrical backbone. Fuse box and custom mounting plate bolt in under the dash; the flashers and horn relay ride on the panel; the power circuits are fusible link protected and the alternator leads are heavy 8 gauge. The accessory disconnect is the part builders appreciate later. Power windows; power seats; cruise; an electric fuel pump; door locks - they land on a planned connector instead of a scotch lock behind the kick panel. Heater control panel lighting; blower motor power; glove box and cigarette lighter feeds are already in the loom; and so are the connections for a Vintage Air or HotRod Air update. New ignition switch; new headlight switch; new floor dimmer. Cluster disconnect for the original gauges or for whatever you put in their place.

- Replacement headlight switch with internal circuit breaker included. Retention collar nut, adjustable length shaft, and custom knob are also included. Extra connectors and instructions are supplied for the installation of original headlight switches.
- Front lighting includes extra long leads for special routing when custom under hood appearance is desired. All headlight, park light, and directional light connectors and terminals are provided, as well as a switched trigger wire for electric fan relay (usually recommended with AC).
- Rear body harness assembly is designed to plug into the main harness in the original position utilizing existing retainers. Flexibility in harness design allows for original or custom routing. Both pickup and suburban models are accommodated. Rear body wiring includes backup light wires and mating connectors for backup light leads. License plate lead, connectors, and terminals included.
