A race-oriented Pro-Billet distributor covering the full FE range, 332 through 428, with a magnetic pickup that triggers your MSD ignition control at any rpm. Read the fitment first: this one requires an MSD control, and it will not accept a vacuum advance or a Cap-A-Dapt.
Racers and nostalgic Ford owners running an FE finally have a distributor equal to the engine. The magnetic pickup feeds your MSD ignition control accurately at any rpm, so timing stays honest from idle to the top of the tach.
The build details are where the racing intent shows. The specially ground advance cam is TIG-welded to a 9/16-inch hardened shaft. The weight pins are staked and TIG-welded to the plate. Advance plate and weights are fine blanked from chrome moly steel and QPQ coated, with nylon pads keeping the weights moving smoothly.
The mechanical advance sits above the pickup and adjusts without disassembling the distributor, so curve changes happen on the engine. Two hard requirements: an MSD ignition control is sold separately, and this housing will not take a vacuum advance or Cap-A-Dapt. For vacuum advance on an FE, look at the 8595.
