Coyote Swap Mount Kit for 1988–96 Ford OBS & Bronco

Factory location. Factory steering box. No compromise up front. Putting a Coyote in an OBS is not the hard part. Keeping the power steering box; the stock suspension and a driveline angle that does not chew U joints is the hard part. This kit sets the engine where Ford set the original one. That leaves the room the steering box needs and keeps the transmission over the crossmember the truck already has. Run 2WD and that stock crossmember carries it; run 4WD and the crossmember in this kit takes over. Mounts; bushings; new assembly hardware and instructions come in the box. Cutting and welding are part of the job - this is a swap kit and not a bolt-on; and the listing says so plainly. It ships in raw steel. Paint it or powder coat it before it goes under the truck and it will outlast everything bolted to it.

  • Factory engine location - the Coyote sits where the original engine sat so the power steering box stays where Ford put it.
  • 2WD needs no crossmember - the transmission lands on the original crossmember; less to buy and less to cut.
  • 4WD crossmember included - sized for the F150 electronic OEM transfer case and adaptable to an Atlas II or NP205.
  • Hardware and bushings in the box - new assembly hardware and mount bushings with printed instructions.
  • Stock suspension retained - the front end you already built stays under the truck.
  • Raw steel finish - paint or powder coat it your way before it goes under a truck you will not want to pull apart again.

Install Level: Professional

2WD option ships without a crossmember; the transmission lands on the original crossmember.
4WD option includes the transmission crossmember.
The 4WD crossmember fits the F150 electronic OEM transfer case; an Atlas II or NP205 can work with modification.
Additional cutting and welding is required.
Ships in raw steel; ready for paint or powder coat.
Body statement: out of stock with a 4-6 week lead time.
Published update: reported to work in 1980-1987 trucks; only 1988-1996 is verified.
