Hood to Cowl Seal | Chevy GMC 1967-72

Heat in. Water in. Noise in. The hood to cowl seal is the last thing anyone replaces and the first thing that quits. It mounts on the firewall and closes against the underside of the hood. When it goes flat you get engine heat pushed back at the glass; water down the firewall; and hood flutter you can hear at speed. Precision CS 1110 67 is molded from ozone resistant rubber to the original section. It sits in the factory line so the hood still closes on its bumpers. This is the strip for the 1967 through 1972 trucks - C and K pickups; Suburban; Blazer from 1969 and Jimmy from 1970. Cheap part. Big difference at the base of the windshield.

  • Seals the gap nothing else covers - the strip between the firewall and the closed hood is where engine heat and road water get into the cowl.
  • Ozone resistant compound - the reason the original strip went hard and cracked was ozone and sun; this one is built to survive both.
  • Made to original specs - it lands in the factory channel instead of standing proud and holding the hood off its bumpers.
  • Quiet cab - a dead seal here lets hood flutter and wind noise straight into the firewall; a fresh one takes it back out.
  • One part number - a single strip; no kit to sort and nothing to cut to length.
