Thirty three years of Stepside on one part number. The Stepside bed barely changed between 1954 and 1987 and that is the whole reason this cover exists. One rigid lid covers the lot - from a second series Task Force right through to a squarebody Stepside sitting on the same narrow bed between the fenders. It is built from aluminum and stainless so there is nothing in it to rust. That matters more on a Stepside than anywhere else; the bed sides are shallow; the wood is exposed and the weather gets in from every direction. Electric actuators open it. The lid support structure carries integrated rain gutters and weather stripping; so rain runs off and out instead of sitting on the bed wood you spent a weekend oiling. 172 lbs; built to order on a 4 to 8 week lead time; and it ships freight. The wait is the price of a cover made to the bed rather than adapted to it.
