SoundShield® Contour
A speaker in a door is fighting the door. Half the output goes backward into the cavity; bounces off the outer skin and comes back out of phase with what you paid for. The rest leaks around the mounting lip. That is why a good component set in an untreated door sounds thin and boomy at the same time. Contour fixes both ends of that. A backing pad goes behind the speaker to absorb the rear wave instead of letting it slap off the outer skin. Then the contour cut flex strip wraps under the mounting lip so the speaker seals to the panel rather than breathing around it. Same industry-leading SoundShield material; cut into the two shapes the job actually needs. The strips are ready to trim so one kit covers a wide range of housing sizes. Fifteen minutes per door. Your imaging tightens up and the midbass shows up where it belongs.
