1978-79 Bronco Steering Column Kit
A column that fits the Bronco. Not one that almost does. Flaming River builds the column. We build the bracket - welded in our own shop specifically for the 1978-79 Bronco; so the column lands where it should instead of wherever a universal clamp will let it sit. The cone section measures 7 inches from the steering wheel mount to the bottom of the cone. That is two inches shorter than the other columns on the market; which puts the wheel two inches further from your chest. On a truck you actually drive; that is the difference between a driving position and a compromise you stop noticing but never stop feeling. Order it without the factory indicator. Running Dakota Digital gauges makes the indicator redundant; and deleting it cleans up the gauge alignment and the whole line of the column. Floor shift or column shift. Black Cerakote applied in our shop; or Mill Stainless left paintable so the bracket matches your interior. The 2-piece billet aluminum floor mount adapter comes with it - angled slot for the shaft; set screw for a secure mount. That is the part that turns a column into an installation.
