1973-79 Ford Truck Steering Column Kit
A column that fits; a mount that holds it; one part number. Most steering column swaps come apart at the mount. The column is fine and the bracket is a guess. This kit ships the Flaming River 30 inch tilt column with a bracket we weld in our own shop for the 1973-79 cab; plus the billet floor mount adapter that sets the angle at the firewall. The cone is the detail you feel from the driver seat. Seven inches from the wheel mount to the bottom of the cone; two inches shorter than the alternatives; which puts the wheel two inches further from your chest and gives your knees back. Columns come with no indicator and no neutral safety switch. That is deliberate. If you are running Dakota Digital gauges the factory indicator is redundant and removing it cleans up the gauge alignment. Choose Floor Shift or Column Shift; and Black Cerakote or Mill Stainless if you want to paint or coat it yourself. Built to order; 2-3 weeks. One honest caveat. These were designed around aftermarket steering. With a factory steering box you may need additional adjustment to make it all line up.
