This is the plastic plug Accuair supplies inside its own kits for exactly that job. It pushes into a 3/8 inch DOT/PTC port and seals it - no thread; no sealant; no tool. It is also the part that goes missing between the kit box and the bench. Eight dollars replaces it rather than holding up the whole install. Push it in; check it with soapy water; move on.
