Windshield Weatherstrip Seal Without Trim Groove | Chevy GMC 1967-1972

Black gasket. Rope in. No trim to chase. The windshield gasket is the seal that costs you a cab if you ignore it. Water past the rubber runs down the inside of the A pillar and pools in the cowl and the front floor corners. By the time you can see it the metal is already gone. This is the plain black version - no groove; no lockstrip; nothing bright to source. The seal goes on the glass; a length of rope goes in the channel; and the whole assembly gets pulled into the opening. Ozone resistant EPDM to the same OE specs as the original. The section is what makes the glass sit at the factory line and what keeps the lip loaded against the pinchweld twenty years from now. Precision recommends a glass technician set it during glass replacement. On a windshield that is good advice; a cracked screen costs more than the labour.

  • No bright trim to source - the no-groove gasket finishes itself with nothing extra to buy.
  • Ozone resistant EPDM - the original hardened and let water down the A pillar; this compound resists that.
  • OE section - the glass sits at the factory line and the lip stays loaded on the pinchweld.
  • Saves the cowl and floor - a sealed windshield keeps water out of the corners where rust starts unseen.
  • Covers the whole range - pickup; Suburban; Blazer and Jimmy applications published.
