Beltline Molding Kit 4pc Chrome L&R | Chevy 1967-72
Four moldings. Two rear doors. Chrome bead.
A beltline molding is a squeegee. It wipes the rear door glass clean going up and down and it stops the water that runs off the glass from going inside the door. When the rubber lip is gone the glass carries grit; the inner panel stays damp and the bottom of the door starts to bubble.
This is the chrome bead set for both rear doors of a Suburban - inner and outer; left and right. Pre-applied clips; ozone resistant material; the original section.
If the glass run channels in your rear doors are hard as well then buy the eight piece kit instead and do it once. This four piece is the right call when the channels are still soft and only the beltlines have failed.
Chrome bead. The bright edge is what shows with the door open.
- Squeegees the glass again - a live rubber lip keeps grit off the rear door glass instead of grinding it in.
- Water stays out of the door - the outer beltline is what stops runoff filling the door bottom.
- Pre-applied clips - the moldings arrive ready to press on rather than needing hardware sourced.
- Chrome bead - the bright edge finishes the rear door opening.
- Cheapest fix that works - the right buy when the glass run channels are still soft.
