Hooker Competition Long Tube Headers, Painted — 1965–1974 Ford F-Series 2WD, 352–390 FE
Big-block Ford; finally routed right. Bolts and gaskets included. FE trucks get short-changed on exhaust parts. This set was sized to the engine you actually have - 1-3/4 inch outside diameter primaries at 24 inches; a 2.50-inch collector with 9 inches of collector length; and rectangle ports matched to the port shape so the flange seals where it should. Flanges are where cheap headers fail first. These run 3/8 inch thick; which keeps them flat against the head through heat cycle after heat cycle instead of warping into a slow leak. The slip-fit collector makes lining the system up easier during assembly; and the silver painted finish keeps the entry cost below a coated set.

Flanges are where cheap headers fail first. These run 3/8 inch thick, which keeps them flat against the head through heat cycle after heat cycle instead of warping into a slow leak. The tubing is 16 gauge mild steel — durable, repairable, honest about what it is.
