Take that trim off and the front end looks unfinished; fit a plain gasket and there is nowhere for it to go back. This is the trim groove version. The groove takes your original steel trim so the reveal sits exactly where it left the plant. Ozone resistant EPDM built from the same OE specs as the original so the glass sits at factory depth. It ropes in with the seal on the glass first. Precision recommends a professional glass technician and on a wraparound windshield that advice is worth taking. Order it when the glass is out. This is a glass replacement part.
