Power Brake Booster, 7 in. Diameter, Black Powdercoated, Dual Diaphram
Seven inches. Two diaphragms. Less pedal effort.
Drum brakes and a manual master will stop a classic truck. They will also make you plan your stops a block early and stand on the pedal when somebody pulls out.
A dual diaphragm booster puts two working surfaces inside one housing. That is how a 7 inch unit makes the assist a larger single diaphragm would need more firewall room to deliver - and firewall room is exactly what a classic truck does not have once an engine is in it.
Black powder coat over the housing. It sits behind the master cylinder where it will collect heat and road spray for the rest of its life; the finish matters more there than on a show part.
Confirm your push rod length and bolt pattern before you order. Nothing on this listing publishes them.
- Dual diaphragm in a 7 inch can - assist without the firewall depth a larger single unit needs.
- Lower pedal effort - consistent stops without standing on the pedal every time.
- Black powder coat - the finish holds up behind the master where heat and spray live.
- Compact behind a swapped engine - 7 inch leaves room where a big block or a Coyote has taken it.
- Consistent activation - the pedal feels the same cold on the first stop as it does warm on the tenth.
