Classic Update Harness | Chevy Truck (1973-82)
Fifty year old copper. New everything. The 1973-82 dash harness has been cut into more times than anyone will admit. Add a stereo; add a fan; add a tach and the fuse panel ends up carrying loads nobody designed for. This Classic Update harness starts over. New ATO fuse panel drops into the factory location with no firewall work; the headlight switch comes with its own 25-amp breaker and the flashers and horn relay arrive already mounted. The floor dimmer switch is in the box and the leads are cut for the original floor mounted position; so is the rear body harness with its backup; tail; plate lamp and tank sender connections. Cluster wiring uses a disconnect system. Keep the factory gauges today and move to a Dakota Digital or Classic Instruments cluster later without redoing the dash. Color schematics; long front lighting leads and a fan relay trigger already run. Wire it once.
