VU4 NPT Plug Kit

Six plugs. Quarter inch NPT. A VU4 manifold is machined with more ports than any single build uses. Some go to bags; some go to the tank; the rest need to be shut properly and forgotten. These are the plugs Accuair supplies for that job - six of them; 1/4 NPT; the correct thread for the VU4 body. Not a hardware store approximation that bottoms out in an aluminum port and cracks the boss. Sealing an unused port is five minutes of work that saves you a leak hunt. An open or badly plugged port behaves exactly like a slow bag leak and you will look at the bag first. Sealant is your side of the job. NPT seals on the taper and on what you put on it.

  • Correct 1/4 NPT thread - cut for the VU4 body rather than close enough from a parts drawer.
  • Six in the kit - enough to cap the ports a normal four corner build leaves open.
  • Stops a phantom leak - a badly sealed port reads exactly like a bag leak and costs a weekend to find.
  • Protects the aluminum - a plug sized for the port does not split the boss the way an oversized substitute will.
