Windshield Weatherstrip Seal With Trim Groove For Steel Trim | Chevy 1955-59
Trim groove. Steel trim. Bright line restored. The stainless around a second series windshield only looks right when the rubber underneath still holds it tight. Once the groove goes hard the trim lifts at the corners; water gets behind it and the header rusts under paint you just paid for. This gasket carries the groove that grips your original steel trim. Ozone resistant EPDM cut to the OE section so the clips pull the trim down flat again. You re-use your own stainless. Clean it; straighten the ends and set it into the fresh groove once the glass is in and seated. If your windshield opening has never had bright trim; order the plain black WBL 407 GM instead and save yourself the groove you do not need.
