HDX Instrument Gauge System | Ford Pickup (1953-55)

That trapezoid hole. Solved with a solid billet of aluminum. Anybody who has sat in a 1953-55 F100 has stared at that cluster opening and wondered what on earth to do with it. Nothing modern fits and nothing that fits is modern. Dakota Digital starts with a chunk of aluminum and mills a bezel to match the stock dash exactly; then chromes it. Six analog instruments and a large TFT message center go in behind it. Included sensors let the system monitor whatever drivetrain you chose. Pick separate illumination colors for the readings; the needles and the screen. Capacitive-touch buttons on the cluster handle calibration; so does the Bluetooth app. Needle hubs are black nickel plated spun aluminum to match those buttons. Dead-faced indicators and a settable red warning light per gauge. It sits in that opening like it was always supposed to be there.

  • Milled bezel included - machined from a single piece of aluminum to fit the stock dash exactly; then chromed.
  • Large TFT message center - a full-color configurable screen in a dash that had nothing of the kind.
  • Six analog instruments - the full set behind a face that belongs in the opening.
  • Colors set separately - readings; needles and message center each take their own illumination color.
  • Setup by app or by touch - capacitive-touch buttons on the cluster or the Bluetooth app for Apple and Android.
  • Warning light per gauge - settable thresholds instead of watching a needle drift.

Install Level: Intermediate - cluster removal; control box mounting and sender wiring

Bluetooth app for Apple and Android devices is available for calibration and settings.

If you’ve ever sat in your 1953-55 F100 pondering what to do with that trapezoid-shaped instrument cluster, you have reached nirvana. Staring with a big chunk of aluminum, a new bezel is milled to fit the stock dash exactly, chromed, then filled with six analog instruments and a large TFT message center. Included sensors allow this package to monitor your choice of drivetrain components

Available with your choice of black or silver alloy gauge-face styling, each HDX system allows the user to select independent illumination colors for the gauge readings and needles, as well as the message centers. Calibration and personal settings are manipulated with the built-in, capacitive-touch buttons, or the available Bluetooth app for Apple and Android devices. Each needle hub is black nickel plated spun-aluminum to match the buttons.

All HDX instrument systems feature dead-faced indicators (turn signals, high beam, check engine, cruise control, parking brake, plus two user-definable), and a red, settable warning light for each gauge. With our central control box, installation is greatly simplified with vehicle-harness sourced signals and supplied, solid state sending units connecting cleanly to their respective terminal.
