Front Dropmember Kit | 1953-56 Ford F100
Nine ways to build it. One bolt-in front end. The stock front end under a 1953-56 F100 was designed for a straight axle era and a 1950s speed limit. Modern power and modern tires find the limits of it fast; and no amount of new bushings changes the geometry. This is the PorterBuilt Fab dropmember built with Fat Fender Garage: dropmember; frame rails; cab mounts; motor mount frame perches; shock relocation brackets and a Unisteer power steering rack. It bolts in. A home builder with a lift and patience can do this. Then you choose. Coilovers on Falcon shocks and springs at Level 1 for a 1-2 inch drop with no bed work; or Level 2 at 4-6 inch which does need bed modification. Or Dominator airbags with shocks and mounting hardware at Level 3; which lays the frame on the ground when you want it to. Brakes go on top of that: Wilwood rotors and calipers at 12; 13 or 14 inch on 5x5 and 5x4.75 bolt patterns. Match the rotor to the wheel; 12 inch needs a 15 inch wheel or larger; 13 inch needs 17 inch; 14 inch needs 18 inch. Built to order. Standard lead time is 10-12 weeks; plan the rest of the build around that.

Stopping Power:
The more horsepower you run, the bigger your brakes should be. If you are going to autocross your truck, then bigger is definitely better. The larger diameter rotor is better and dissipating the extreme heat experienced in racing.
