Ford Performance 5.0L Gen 4X Coyote crate engine for classic truck swaps: 460 HP, 420 lb-ft, with a single 80mm throttle body that frees up room and a 10R80 flexplate.

  • Single throttle body; easier packaging - one 80 mm unit instead of two clears the space a swap always fights for first.
  • 460 HP on pump premium - 12:1 compression with direct and port injection; power without a race fuel habit.
  • Boss 302 rods; forged crank - the rotating assembly is already the good one.
  • 10R80 flexplate included - an automatic build starts one part number ahead.
  • 445 lbs bare - lighter over the front axle than the iron it is replacing in most classic trucks.
  • Modular mount pattern - existing Coyote swap mounts and bellhousings apply.

The Ford Performance all-aluminum 5.0L Coyote Gen 4X crate engine is a modern 5.0L 32-valve DOHC V-8 that utilizes advanced features such as direct and port fuel injection, twin independent variable camshaft timing (Ti-VCT), high-flow aluminum cylinder heads, and 12:1 compression to deliver 460 horsepower and 420 lb.-ft. of torque (with premium fuel). The aluminum cylinder block features plasma transferred arc spray in liners, cross-bolted main bearing caps, and thick main bearing bulkheads for strength. The Gen 4X 5.0L Coyote features a single 80mm throttle body for easier packaging in various applications.

Engine mount bosses and bellhousing mount pattern are common to 5.0L modular engines; Coyote swap mounts and bellhousings for that family apply.
The single 80 mm throttle body is the reason to choose this engine over the twin-throttle Gen 4; it packages more easily in a narrow engine bay.
10R80 flexplate is included; a manual build needs flywheel M-6375-M50.
Control pack M-6017-M50HM or M-6017-M50HA is required and not included.
Exhaust manifold is supplied for the right side only and the driver side flange uses the 5.2L pattern.
