A black anodized Pro-Billet distributor for Ford 289 and 302, machined on CNC mills and lathes to within 0.001 inch — and listed with C.A.R.B. E.O. D-40-39. Requires an MSD 6, 7, or 8 Series ignition control.
The machining is the story here. MSD uses state-of-the-art CNC mills and lathes on every housing, and after a long series of precise cuts the billet is formed into a distributor housing accurate to within 0.001 inch. Those flex-free housings are lightweight, with no porosity or weak areas.
This one wears black anodizing over that work. All the performance of the Pro-Billet line, now in black for your Ford — the finish you want when the ignition should sit back instead of drawing the eye.
The internals are the same ones MSD builds for street cruising, stock cars, dragsters, boats, and trucks. A maintenance-free magnetic pickup and precision reluctor create stable trigger signals, and a QPQ-coated steel shaft rides a sealed ball bearing for smooth operation at all rpm. Listed with C.A.R.B. E.O. D-40-39 and Emission Code 1 — 50-state legal when used per the application guide.
