A black anodized Pro-Billet small diameter distributor for Ford 289-302, shipped with the steel gear already installed and set for a hydraulic roller camshaft. Requires an MSD 6, 7, or 8 Series ignition control.
Not every build wants chrome and red caps. This one is black anodized so the hardware blends into a finished engine bay instead of pulling your eye to it.
Underneath the finish, it solves the Ford gear problem outright. No pressed-fit swap, no cross-drilling the shaft, no gear-height setup on the bench — the steel gear is Melonized QPQ coated, installed, and matched to hydraulic roller cams. A flat tappet cam needs a different gear material, so check your cam card first.
The hardware is standard Pro-Billet, which is to say built to stay put. CNC machined billet aluminum housing and base. QPQ-coated shaft on a sealed ball bearing. Advance plate and weights fine blanked from chrome moly steel, with the mechanical advance adjustable by supplied springs and lockable for crank trigger use. The small cap keeps things tidy at the back of the intake.
