1978-79 Ford Bronco EFI Fuel Tank and Fuel Pump

Twenty one gallons. Pump already in it. Modern injection wants pressure and it wants it without an air gulp every time the Bronco leans. A surge tank strapped under the floor is a workaround. This is the fix. The Aeromotive Stealth 340 sits inside the tank where the fuel keeps it cool and quiet; good for 700 HP on boost or 850 HP naturally aspirated. Sniper; FiTech; Holley; a junkyard Coyote - they all feed from the same place. The tank is built to order from 1/8 inch 5052-H32 aluminum with three baffles and a taper to 8 inch at the back. It goes in the rear factory location and uses the stock side fill; no bed fuel door and no new hole in the body. Going bigger. The Aeromotive 18309 Dual Phantom option swaps the standard pump for a dual assembly that carries far past what any street Coyote will ask for.

  • Pump lives in the fuel - the Stealth 340 runs cool and quiet submerged instead of screaming under the floor pan.
  • 700 HP on boost; 850 naturally aspirated - published Aeromotive numbers; your Coyote will not run out of fuel first.
  • Stock side fill - it uses the Bronco filler you already have; no bed door and no fresh hole in the body.
  • Three baffles - the pump stays covered on a side hill; no lean stumble at the worst moment.
  • Room to grow - the Aeromotive 18309 Dual Phantom option is there when the build gets serious.

Fuel Level Sensor: We recommend one of two sending units to fit your needs; A 0-90 OHM fuel level sensor for aftermarket gauges or a 75-10 OHM fuel level sensor if you are using stock gauges with our Coyote Swap tanks.

Rollover Safety Vent: We also include the rollover safety vent, which is a simple ball check valve that allows air in and out of the tank as needed. In the event of a rollover, the ball will drop and block the vent port from leaking fuel. Additionally, it also has a small float inside that will help reduce the amount of liquid entering the vent hose from fuel slosh during normal everyday use.
