1953-60 Ford Truck Non-EFI Fuel Tank

No cutting. No smell. Nineteen gallons under the bed. If you have ever ridden in a 1955 F100 with the original tank you know the problem. It sits behind the seat; it has been leaching fumes into the cab since Eisenhower and no amount of new upholstery covers it. This tank is built to drop between the frame rails and crossmembers of a 1953-1960 F100 with no cutting required. That phrase is doing real work: no frame notching; no boxing plates; no hoping a universal tank clears something. .125 aluminum; roughly 19 gallons; two baffles. A #6 ORB female pump outlet; 3/8 inch NPT return and a 1/2 inch NPT vent; plus a CNC machined non vented threaded cap. The fuel pump flange ships with a block off plate. That is the upgrade path: run the carburetor now; and when the injected engine goes in you pull the plate; fit a Stealth 340 and keep the tank you already paid for. Built to order by hand. Which is why it fits.

  • No cutting required - sized to sit between the factory frame rails and crossmembers of a 1953-1960 F100.
  • Gets the tank out of the cab - ends the fuel smell that comes with a behind the seat tank.
  • Block off plate for later - the pump flange is already there; pull the plate and fit a Stealth 340 when you go EFI.
  • Two baffles - keeps fuel over the outlet instead of sloshing away from it in a corner.
  • #6 ORB outlet - a proper o-ring boss fitting rather than a pipe thread that weeps.
  • Built to order in .125 aluminum - hand welded and test fit for the application.

Bed Fill: Standard bed fill tank with cap. The standard bed fill tank will come with a threaded cap and neck as shown in the pictures which sticks up approx. 3” and sits just below the bed floor. This will require you to have a bed fuel door.

Fuel Level Sensor: We recommend one of two sending units to fit your needs; A 0-90 OHM fuel level sensor for aftermarket gauges or a 75-10 OHM fuel level sensor if you are using stock gauges with our Coyote Swap tanks.

Rollover Safety Vent: We also include the rollover safety vent, which is a simple ball check valve that allows air in and out of the tank as needed. In the event of a rollover, the ball will drop and block the vent port from leaking fuel. Additionally, it also has a small float inside that will help reduce the amount of liquid entering the vent hose from fuel slosh during normal everyday use.
