Vapor Trapper
Open the garage. Smell the truck; not the gas. If your tank vents to atmosphere; the fuel is evaporating into your garage; your shop and the house attached to it. Modern EFI conversions made it worse - fuel cells and return-style systems moved a lot more fuel around and nobody sent a canister with them. The Vapor Trapper is a charcoal vapor canister machined from 6061 billet aluminum. It goes in line with the tank vent hose; catches the vapor and lets air through. When the charcoal finally saturates you recharge it instead of replacing it. Built and assembled in Arizona; lifetime warranty; patent pending. Two clamps and a pair of #6 ORB fittings and it is in. Two sizes; 6 inch or 8 inch; in black anodized or silver. One rule that decides whether it works: mount it - or at least the inlet line - well above the tank. Liquid fuel in the charcoal kills the media. This is not emissions equipment and it does not replace factory emissions hardware. It is the fix for a truck that smells like a gas can.

Installation: The Vapor Trapper can be easily mounted using two 2-1/2” clamps put in line with your fuel tank vent line. Use #6 AN O-ring Boss fitting (barb fittings with a rubber fuel hose or a threaded AN fitting for a more custom installation). Make sure to install the Vapor Trapper, or at least the inlet line, far above the fuel tank to avoid liquid fuel getting into the filter. Fuel getting into the Charcoal media drastically reduces the performance of this product.
