Single Linear Actuator
One motor. Properly controlled. A linear actuator on its own is a switch and a prayer. Hold the button until the lid looks right; let go and hope nothing was under it. The PAC-3100 turns that into a system. It learns three heights; then the lid goes to the one you asked for and stops there. No thumb on a toggle; no guessing where half open is. Auto reverse watches current draw on the way down. Something in the way means the motor stops; reverses and returns to the last position before it tries again. There is a key linked mode too. Turn the key off and the cover opens; turn it on and it closes. Read the part number before you order. PAC-3100 is the controller for one actuator; the actuators themselves are the LACT series on their own listing.

Then PAC-3100 is designed to control a linear motor and is intended to be used to lift trunk lids and toppers/tonneau covers. The PAC-3100 has a safety auto reverse feature that will stop downward travel if something would block the trunk lid. If a too much current draw is detected, indicating a blocked condition, the motors will reverse and return to the previous position before they started moving down. The system can learn three user adjustable heights, so the trunk/cover will automatically move to a desired position with the push of a button. There is also an auto move to position feature that will open the trunk/cover when the key is turned off and close the cover when the key is turned on.
