1948-52 Steering Column Kit (Steering Column, Column Drop and Floor Mount)
Everything between your hands and the box; in one order. Swapping an F-1 to a modern column usually turns into three purchases and two brackets you make yourself. This kit ends that. A 30 inch Flaming River tilt column in 304 stainless with a 2 inch tube; a billet aluminum column drop in your choice of 3.5 inch or 4.5 inch; and a swivel floor mount cut specifically for the 1948-52 F-1 floor. Pick floor shift or column shift; then mill stainless to paint; black powdercoat or polished stainless. The column comes with the billet dress up kit - tilt and turn signal levers and the hazard knob - GM wiring on the 4-1/4 inch connector; canceling cam and a DD output shaft. There is no top indicator on this column; that is deliberate. Your Dakota Digital cluster stays visible instead of hiding behind a shift quadrant.
Install Level: Intermediate - column swap; floor mount fitting and steering shaft alignment
Column is non keyed; an ignition switch is mounted elsewhere.
No neutral safety switch is included; the FFG Gear Shift Sender Kit adds one for an automatic transmission.
No top indicator; the column will not obstruct modern aftermarket gauges.
Mill Stainless is supplied paintable; polished and black powdercoat are finished.
