7.3L Megazilla™ 612 HP Crate Engine

Seven point three liters. Six hundred twelve horsepower. Premium pump gas. Most big-inch builds make you choose between the dyno sheet and the drive home. Megazilla does not. Ford Performance started with the Godzilla cast iron block and added CNC ported aluminum heads; Mahle forged pistons; Callies H-beam rods and a hi-performance cam with the VCT deleted. The number that matters is not the peak. It is over 500 lb-ft of torque from 2;500 rpm all the way to 6;000 rpm. A truck with this engine pulls a grade at part throttle and does not much care what gear it is in. It arrives assembled and crated with coils; plug wires; spark plugs; the production oil pan and the production engine wiring harness. The bellhousing pattern matches 4.6/5.4 and Coyote 5.0L; so the transmission side of your swap is already a solved problem. Two things to plan for before you order. You need a control pack and a custom calibration; neither is included. And Ford Performance publishes this as competition or off-highway use only.

  • Torque everywhere; not just at the peak - over 500 lb-ft from 2;500 to 6;000 rpm means part-throttle grade pulling instead of downshifting.
  • Forged bottom end from the crate - Mahle forged pistons and Callies H-beam rods; you are not tearing it down to make it live.
  • CNC ported heads already on it - M-6049-SD73P and M-6050-SD73P aluminum castings; the head work is done and paid for.
  • Familiar transmission side - bellhousing pattern matches 4.6/5.4 and Coyote 5.0L; your swap parts already exist.
  • Premium pump gas - 10.5:1 compression keeps it streetable; no race fuel budget.
  • Ships with the hard parts - coils; wires; plugs; oil pan; production engine harness and a storage cradle.

The Ford Performance Parts engine team has unleased the 7.3L MEGAZILLA™ crate engine. MEGAZILLA™ features the Ford Performance 7.3L intake manifold, CNC ported cylinder heads, forged pistons and connecting rods. MEGAZILLA™ cranks out 612 HP and 670 lb-ft of torque in a streetable package running on premium pump gas.
