Product Overview

The Vapor Trapper is a high-quality billet aluminum charcoal vapor canister designed to reduce or eliminate fuel odors caused by vented fuel tanks. It is the only aftermarket, universally designed charcoal vapor canister available, making it ideal for cars, trucks, hot rods, boats, and custom builds.

Manufactured from 6061 billet aluminum, the Vapor Trapper is built to last a lifetime and features rechargeable charcoal media, allowing the contents to be replaced once saturated. This is a long-term solution—not a disposable fix.

As EFI conversions, fuel cells, and custom tanks have become more common, fuel odor has become a widespread issue. Shop48 developed the Vapor Trapper specifically to address this problem where other solutions fall short.

Installation

Installation is simple and flexible. The Vapor Trapper installs in-line with your fuel tank vent hose and supports nearly any inlet/outlet configuration.

  • Uses (-6) AN O-Ring Boss fittings
  • Compatible with rubber fuel hose (barb fittings) or AN fittings for custom installs
  • Can be mounted using two 2-1/2” clamps

Important: Install the Vapor Trapper—or at minimum the inlet line—well above the fuel tank. Liquid fuel entering the charcoal media will significantly reduce performance.
