Classic Update Harness | Ford Truck (1961-66)

A fuse panel in a closed box. Labeled inside the lid. Unibody and slick side owners have been working around a fuse block that was never really a fuse block. Add gauges; a wiper upgrade and air conditioning and there is nowhere clean to feed any of it. This kit brings the compact ATO style panel; fully encased in a closed box with two mounting pads and its own hardware. Open the lid and every circuit is named with its fuse rating printed right there. Three years from now that label is the difference between a two minute fix on the roadside and a tow. High amperage circuits use the spring steel reinforced terminals from the Highway Series kits; the parts of the harness that carry real current are built for it. It covers two wheel drive and four wheel drive bodies. The rear harness mates into the stock Ford tail and backup pigtails so the bed wiring stays simple; the tank sender wire and plate lamp lead are in there too. New ignition switch with an indexed connector; new headlight switch with a 30 amp breaker; new floor dimmer. Color schematics in the box.

Rear body harness plugs into the main harness at the left kick panel with long leads; it mates into the stock Ford tail and backup lamp pigtails and includes a license plate lamp lead and a fuel tank sender wire with tank unit connection.
A new floor dimmer switch is provided; wire length and connection suit the original floor mounted dimmer.
Engine wiring includes feeds for coil; tach; water temperature; oil pressure; electric choke and electric speedometer plus a heavy gauge alternator feed and fusible link; a Ford Gen III series alternator adapter is available separately.
Front lighting leads run long for stock or custom routing and include a switched trigger wire for an electric fan relay.
A new ignition switch with an indexed connector is included.
