Beltline Molding, Outer, Left/Right Hand | Chevy 1955-59

One outer sweep. The cheapest fix on the door. The outer beltline is the strip that wipes the glass as the window drops. When it packs flat the water that runs down the outside of the pane goes straight into the door instead of off it; and the bottom of the door starts rusting from the inside out. This is that single outer molding. One piece; either door; made to the original section in ozone resistant material. Buy it when one side is torn and the other is still good. Buy the 4 piece kit when the inner sweeps are tired too - and they usually are; they live in the same damp. Small part; short job; and it stops water getting into the one cavity on the truck you cannot see into.

  • Stops water entering the door - the outer sweep is what sends the run off the glass instead of down inside the skin.
  • Buy exactly what you need - one piece for one bad side; no kit you do not need.
  • Original section - it sits square on the door lip and meets the glass along its whole length.
  • Ozone resistant - the sweep lives in sun and water; this is the material that survives both.
  • Half an hour with the window down - the fastest visible improvement on a tired door.
