A Street Pro-Billet distributor for the Ford 289 or 302 with a fully adjustable mechanical advance and a vacuum advance canister — and MSD lists it with C.A.R.B. E.O. D-40-39. Small diameter cap and housing, cast iron gear, MSD box required.
You control how the timing comes in. A fully adjustable chromoly mechanical advance sits on top of the shaft, and the supplied springs and stop bushing set how fast timing arrives and where it stops. No software, no guessing — and it locks out for a crank trigger.
The vacuum advance canister is there for improved economy, which is the difference between a distributor built for a dyno and one built for a truck you drive. A race proven magnetic pickup and precision reluctor feed the MSD ignition throughout high rpm, with a hardened steel shaft in a sealed ball bearing.
The cap and housing run 5/8 inch smaller than stock, adding real room in front of the engine. MSD lists it with C.A.R.B. E.O. D-40-39 and Emission Code 1 — 50-state legal when used per the application guide.
