The vacuum advance canister is there for economy on a truck racking up real miles - and it locks out when the combination calls for it. The curve is yours. An accurate mechanical advance adjusts with supplied springs and stop bushings; so you dial in how fast timing comes in and where it stops. The steel gear is installed and compatible with hydraulic roller camshafts; so the pressed-fit gear job Ford distributors normally demand is already handled.

The curve is yours. An accurate mechanical advance adjusts with supplied springs and stop bushings, so you dial in how fast timing comes in and where it stops. The magnetic pickup produces accurate trigger signals through the entire rpm range and is completely maintenance-free.
The steel gear is installed and compatible with hydraulic roller camshafts, so the pressed-fit gear job Ford distributors normally demand is handled. The billet housing runs 5/8 inch smaller in diameter than stock, and the small diameter cap with HEI terminals and race rotor accepts the 8441 Cap-A-Dapt.
