GPS Speed / Compass Sender / BIM Interface

No speed sensor. No problem. Drop a Coyote in a classic truck and the speedometer is the part that stops the build cold. The 6R80 and 10R80 have no vehicle speed sensor; there is nothing on the tailshaft to tap and no cable to drive. This module solves it off the satellites instead. One connection to your Dakota Digital control box and the system reads true ground speed. Compass heading; altimeter data and automatic clock syncing come along with it; all with fully automatic calibration. No DIP switches. No tire-size math. No guessing. It is a small box that keeps a five-figure swap from being betrayed by a needle that will not move.

  • Speed without a sensor - the 6R80 and 10R80 have no VSS; this reads ground speed from GPS instead.
  • Calibration that calibrates itself - no DIP switches and no tire-size arithmetic to get the needle honest.
  • Four signals from one box - speed; compass heading; altimeter and clock sync on a single connection.
  • Plug into the control box - it lands on the Dakota Digital system you already planned for.
  • Swap-friendly - built for late model drivetrains dropped into classic trucks where nothing lines up with the original gauge.

Install Level: Beginner - single connection to the instrument control box

Requires a Dakota Digital RTX; HDX; VHX or VFD3 instrument system. This module is not a standalone gauge.
Connects to the instrument system control box.
Calibration is fully automatic; there are no DIP switches to set.

Are you doing a late model motor swap into your classic truck and trying to figure out how to get the speedometer to work? When doing a Coyote swap, for example, the Ford 6R80/10R80 transmissions do not have a vehicles speed sensor, and this module makes it a very easy, plug and play solution to resolve that.

When used in conjunction with a Dakota Digital RTX, HDX, VHX or VFD3 Instrument system, a simple connection to the control box adds accurate Speed information, Compass heading, Altimeter data, and automatic Clock syncing, all with fully automatic calibration! No DIP switches, no guessing, no inaccuracies, period.
